Workshops/AGM 11 August 2010
The LIASA Western Cape Support Staff Interest Group (SSIG) held a Workshop/AGM on the 11 August 2010 at the National Library of South Africa/ Centre for the Book.The two topics that was covered at the workshop was Care of Books by Peter Coates and Basic Book Repairs Hands on by Oswald Cupido. Thirty three delegates was present at the workshop and some as far as Welllington.At the end of the workshop we receive very good comment from the delegates and the feeling was that more workshops need to be presented to the library support staff.
We also had our AGM and a interim committee was establish namely, Laddy Mc Kechnie, Fadeela Davids, Christine Fransman, Thembisa Mlamla, William Wiese, Errol Solomon, Margie Fortuin, Esther Carney this committee first meeting will take place in October 2010.
